The 2021 IndoMS International Conference on Mathematics and Its Applications (IICMA) is organized by the Indonesian Mathematical Society (IndoMS).The meeting will be held on November 20, 2021 via Zoom Meeting. The main objective of the conference is to gather world-class researchers, engineers, and educators engaged in the fields of mathematics and its applications to meet and present their latest activities. It will provide you a platform to disseminate your research findings, and hopefully, it will also spark innovative ideas, foster research relations or partnership between the various institutions.

Integrated Mathematics Learning and Research toward Industrial Revolution Era through Collaboration:

The term Industrial Revolution 4.0 must be familiar to us. The beginning of this term is the occurrence of an industrial revolution throughout the world. It can be said as a revolution because the changes that occur have a profound effect on the world's ecosystems and ways of life. First initiated by a group of expert representatives from various fields from Germany, in 2011 at the Hannover Trade Fair. In 2015, Angella Markel introduced the idea of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 at the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Industrial Revolution 4.0 applies the concept of automation carried out by machines without the need for human labor in its application. There are many innovations in Industry 4.0, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, 3D printing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), self-driving vehicles, genetic engineering, robots and smart machines. In the world of education, the increasingly widespread distance learning and online learning services require mathematics teachers and lecturers to be able to master mathematics as well as the latest technology-based learning methods.
Mathematics, as a basic and applied science, is one of the disciplines which is essential necessity to fill space in the development trends of the Industrial Revolution era that is so extraordinary.

Webinar Manajemen Bencana Tahun 2022 dengan tema "Membangun Ketangguhan Komunitas Melalui Pendidikan Kebencanaan"

Kejadian bencana sangat merugikan banyak sektor, termasuk sektor pendidikan. Sekolah yang berada di daerah rawan bencana rentan terhadap kerusakan bangunan yang dapat menimbulkan korban jiwa dan masalah psikologis bagi siswa. Jumlah fasilitas pendidikan yang rusak akibat bencana di Indonesia pada tahun 2017 sebanyak 1.272 unit dan pada tahun 2018 meningkat 36 persen menjadi 1.736 unit. Bencana juga dapat memiliki efek fisik dan mental yang luar biasa pada anak-anak. Secara fisik, anak dapat terkena gangguan kesehatan seperti gizi buruk akibat sulitnya mengakses makanan sehat dan rentan terhadap penyakit akibat kondisi lingkungan yang tidak higienis dan kurangnya air minum yang bersih. Bencana juga menyebabkan anak-anak berisiko tinggi mengalami gangguan kejiwaan yang dapat membuat mereka stres, trauma, dan depresi.

Mempertimbangkan pentingnya upaya penanggulangan bencana di bidang pendidikan, dokumen-dokumen tingkat tinggi seperti Kerangka Aksi Hyogo 2005 - 2015 and Kerangka Kerja Sendai Untuk Pengurangan Bencana 2015 – 2030 telah memperkenalkan perhatian terhadap keamanan sekolah dari bencana dan secara khusus pada tahun 2015 dicetuskan program Worldwide Initiative for Safe Schools (WISS). Program WISS kemudian diwujudkan di Indonesia sebagai program Satuan Pendidikan Aman Bencana (SPAB) yang didukung oleh BNPB, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud), dan LSM lain yang bergerak di bidang pendidikan dan perlindungan anak.

Seminar Nasional Manajemen Bencana yang diselenggarakan oleh Pusat Studi Bencana LPPM Universitas Sebelas Maret ini ingin memasyarakatkan bagaimana dampak bencana terhadap sector Pendidikan dan bagaimana membangun satuan Pendidikan Tangguh bencana.

SEMINAR NASIONAL IX dan KONGRES NASIONAL X MKTI 2019

Kondisi hutan, tanah dan air di Indonesia saat ini telah dan terus mengalami degradasi akibat faktor manusia, pengelolaan yang tidak tepat dan faktor bencana alam. Berdasarkan data resmi Ditjen PDASHL KLHK tahun 2018, terdapat sekitar 14,01 juta ha hutan dan lahan kritis (di dalam dan luar kawasan hutan) serta 1,9 juta ha ekosistem mangrove kritis/terdegradasi tersebar terutama di DAS yg harus dipulihkan daya dukungnya. Kondisi tersebut bisa menyebabkan bencana banjir, kekeringan, longsor, sedimentasi waduk, danau, sungai, saluran serta menurunnya kualitas air dan perubahan iklim mikro yang pada akhirnya bisa mengurangi produktivitas dan mengganggu perekonomian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Untuk menjaga kelangsungan fungsi DAS, maka dilakukan berbagai upaya KTA yang salah satunya adalah rehabilitasi hutan dan lahan serta reklamasi hutan yang dimaksudkan untuk memulihkan kondisi tanah, tutupan vegetasi dan produktivitas lahan, kuantitas dan kualitas air lebih baik sehingga daya dukung DAS dan peranannya dalam mendukung sistem penyangga kehidupan tetap terjaga. Upaya rehabilitasi hutan dan lahan (RHL) sebenarnya sudah lama dilakukan sajak awal kemerdekaan dengan nama program dan kegiatan yang berbeda beda. Akan tetapi kemampuan ketersediaan sumberdaya untuk merehabilitasi hutan dan lahan masih jauh dari laju deforestasi dan degradasi lahan pertahun.

Untuk membantu pemerintah dan bangsa Indonesia dalam menangani masalah tersebut Masyarakat Konservasi Tanah dan Air Indonesia (MKTI, Soil and Water Conservation Society of Indonesia) dapat berperan besar. Peran MKTI juga sangat penting dalam mendukung capaian target 15.1 SDG’s yaitu kondisi nol degradasi lahan tahun 2030 (Land Degradation Neutrality).

The Joint Conference on Chemistry is an annual conference organized by the consortium of Chemistry Department of five universities in Central Java: Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Jenderal Soedirman University (UNSOED) and Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW).

This joint conference has been held since 2006 which initially started with a local seminar to accommodate the dissemination of research results from chemistry lecturers and researchers from the five universities. Starting 2014, we enhanced the the scope of conference to be an International Conference by inviting overseas participant from all over the world.

The series of International Joint Conferences on Chemistry held are:

The 9^th Joint Conference on Chemistry was hosted by Diponegoro University (Undip), Semarang in 2014
The 10^th Joint Conference on Chemistry was hosted by Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Surakarta in 2015
The 11^th Joint Conference on Chemistry was hosted by Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed), Purwokerto at 2016

The objectives of this Joint conference are:

To provide a forum for researchers, educators, students and industries to exchange ideas, to communicate and discuss research findings and new advances in chemical sciences.
To give an opportunity to both academia and practitioners to communicate and discuss on Chemical problems faced in research and the industry sector.
To enhance the capacities of innovation from researchers and industries who apply science and technology on their work
To contribute a formulation of global strategies in advancing chemical science role as well as developing policy initiatives in community
To stimulate future collaborations among researches, educators, industries, and governments who use chemical science and technology.

The conference will be a chemistry related disciplinary event considering all the major areas of chemistry, including inorganic, physical, organic, analytical and biochemistry. This conference also presents topics on chemical education, policies, and many other interesting topics. Interfaces with other sciences and other research areas will be actively encouraged.

The 2nd International Conference On Food Science and Engineering (ICFSE) 2018

“Current perspectives and future challenges in food science and engineering for sustainable development”

Following the success of the first ICFSE that has been held on 18-19 October 2016 and great enthutiasms from the audience, the next ICFSE is urged to be held bianually. The second ICFSE is planned to be held on 25-26 September 2018 in Surakarta, Indonesia. This year conference will bring the theme “Current perspective and future challenges in food science and engineering for sustainable development”. It must be realized that the sustainably supply of energy, clean freshwater, and foods for human kinds are among the most significant challenges for the future. Food science and process engineering is involved in all those challenges directly of indirectly. Food nutrition, safety and security is also the important factors that required a serious attention. Decreasing amount of arable farmland and the rapid growth of human population forced the experts to find new concepts to feed the world through innovative research in the field of food science and engineering. The effort must be supported by the understanding and cooperation between scholars and practitioners all over the world in facing and solving the problems that might appears. Hence, the second International Conference on Food Science and Engineering 2018 is designed to facilitate the needs of academicians, researchers, policy makers, governmental and private agencies in disclosing and sharing their knowledge and experiences in topic or current and future issues related to food science and engineering.

The second International Conference on Food Science and Engineering (ICFSE) 2018 aims are to provide the opportunity to all participants worldwide to meet, discuss, and share their knowledge and experiences on food science and engineering and related fields, as well as to strengthen the international networking between Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) and other universities or institutions worldwide.

SUBMISSION METHOD

Abstract and full paper should be submitted to our submission system (icfse@mail.uns.ac.id). with the email subject of ““icfse2018_Abstract_full name of corresponding author” for abstract submission and “icfse2018_Full Paper_full name of corresponding author” for full paper submission.

Each paper must contain 4-6 pages, normally including all tables, figures and references. Extra pages are allowed to maximum of 2 pages and each page will be charged US$ 50. Paper with more than 8 pages will not be considered as selected papers.

All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. We put a great effort in ensuring the ethical conduct in academic activity is fully obeyed by participants in this conference. Hence, any act of plagiarism is totally unacceptable and the following acts of sanction will be taken if an author is found to commit an act of plagiarism:

1. Reject the article submitted or delete the article from the final publications.

Art is materialization of human creativity by actualizing or expressing ideas to a spesific meaning. In educational context, art have a role of media to deepen the appreciation and creation of art. Artistic product are not the main target, but through art people will understand and feel the impressions, and values that comes from a work of art. Therefore the creation process requires a mature intellectualand humanist consideration as work basis. Society and culture that they believe, is an important aspect that play a role in a work of art birth, because the development of cultural value that occur in global community today is certainly a stimulant for artist in the birth of his work ic accordance with the value that flourish today. Arts as a product from socio-cultural of the society make it a reflector of the inherent dynamic cultural value in life. In this context of a humanist education media, it should be able to educate the citizens about their critical power by reading various artistic text and practicing art in accordance with the context of work of art birth.

Arts as a product from socio-cultural of the society make it a reflector of the inherent dynamic cultural value in life. SEMINAR NASIONAL PRODI MATEMATIKA FMIPA UNS

Matematika dikenal sebagai ilmu dasar. Matematika merupakan raja sekaligus pelayan bagi ilmu-ilmu lainnya. Pembelajaran matematika melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis, logis, analitis, dan sistematis. Matematika memegang peranan penting di era digitalisasi dimana teknologi informasi dan pengetahuan berkembang sangat dinamis.

Di jaman yang serba modern ini segala macam informasi dapat diperoleh dan disebarluaskan dengan mudah melalui berbagai media tanpa terhalang jarak dan waktu. Berbagai aplikasi dan program di komputer tidak lepas dari penerapan aplikasi matematika. Hal ini menunjukkan pentingnya matematika di era digitalisasi. Oleh karena itu, matematika dan aplikasinya perlu untuk dikembangkan untuk mendukung perkembangan peradaban manusia di era digitalisasi.

Dalam rangka mewadahi berkembangnya ilmu matematika dan aplikasinya, Program Studi Matematika, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta menyelenggarakan Seminar Nasional Matematika dengan tema “Matematika dalam Era Digitalisasi”.

"Matematika dalam Era Digitalisasi"

Matematika dikenal sebagai ilmu dasar. Matematika merupakan raja sekaligus pelayan bagi ilmu-ilmu lainnya. Pembelajaran matematika melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis, logis, analitis, dan sistematis. Matematika memegang peranan penting di era digitalisasi dimana teknologi informasi dan pengetahuan berkembang sangat dinamis.

Di jaman yang serba modern ini segala macam informasi dapat diperoleh dan disebarluaskan dengan mudah melalui berbagai media tanpa terhalang jarak dan waktu. Berbagai aplikasi dan program di komputer tidak lepas dari penerapan aplikasi matematika. Hal ini menunjukkan pentingnya matematika di era digitalisasi. Oleh karena itu, matematika dan aplikasinya perlu untuk dikembangkan untuk mendukung perkembangan peradaban manusia di era digitalisasi.
Dalam rangka mewadahi berkembangnya ilmu matematika dan aplikasinya, Program Studi Matematika, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta menyelenggarakan Seminar Nasional Matematika dengan tema “Matematika dalam Era Digitalisasi”.

NETAPPS2017

The 2017 Fifth International Conference on Internet Applications, Protocols and Services (NETAPPS2017) is a no-frills conference in the area of Internet communications and networking. The main goal of this conference is to serve as an affordable platform to promote greater engagement of network researchers from around the globe, notably from the ASEAN and the Asia Pacific region, in the Internet research activities principally on those related to the work of Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF). This conference will motivate greater participation in the technical aspects of Internet technology research and development, specifically in writing RFCs or Internet Drafts, as well as writing high-quality, top-rated technical journal articles on Internet technologies from among Internet researchers in the Asia Pacific region.

This biennial conference is hosted by the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) and is co-organized with the UUM InterNetWorks Research Laboratory, and held in collaboration with the Internet Society (ISOC) Asia Pacific Chapters and the Malaysian Research and Education Networks (MYREN) InterNetWorks Working Group and Department of Informatics Sebelas Maret University. The first three editions of NETAPPS conferences were successfully organized in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2015 respectively. The fifth edition of the conference will be held in Solo, Indonesia on 10-11 October 2017.

NETAPPS2017 seeks papers describing original research contributions to the field of Internet computing and communication networks, with specific thematic focus on cybersecurity, digital trust and privacy, including but not limited to the following topics:

The 1st International Conference on Science, Mathematics, Environment and Education (ICoSMEE) taking place at the Universitas Sebelas Maret in 16 September 2017 is a scientific forum for scholars to disseminate their research and share ideas. In 2017, the conference will have theme New Challenges and Perspectives of Innovative Research in Science, Mathematics, Environment and Education for Sustainable Life continuing the spirit United nation worldwide Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD).

The 2^nd International Conference on Science, Mathematics, Environment and Education (ICoSMEE), which will be held on 26 – 28^th July 2019 in Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, Indonesia. This is a biannual conference encompasses a wide spectrum of topics including the state-of-art and recent trend in different innovative research in science, mathematics, environment and education which will be covered through plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations.

Welcome Message from the Conference Chairperson

It is with great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 2^nd International Conference on Science, Mathematics, Environment and Education (ICoSMEE), which will be held on 26 – 28^th July 2019 in Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, Indonesia. This is a biannual conference encompasses a wide spectrum of topics including the state-of-art and recent trend in different innovative research in science, mathematics, environment and education which will be covered through plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations.

The 21^st century and the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) are two issues closely related and have a great impact to education. It is beyond doubt that education is at the heart of preparing present and future generation to thrive. An education system designed for the industrial economy is now being automated requires transformation, from a system based on facts and procedures to one that actively applies knowledge to collaborative problem solving. Thus, we present this year theme:

“Innovative Research in Science, Mathematics, Environment and Education for Sustainable Life”

By joining with the ICoSMEE, we will bring together educators and researchers to further research ideals and foster new ideas and relationships.

Aims and Scope

The conference aims to provide forum to share and discuss ideas and new development in science, math, environment and education.

The scopes of our conference that will be discussed are:

Keynote Speakers

1. Prof. Steven Gilmour (King’s College London)

Steven Gilmour's research is mostly on the statistical theory, methodology and applications of the design and analysis of experiments. Much of his research is on experiments with complex treatment structures, such as those with many variables (factorial designs), those with continuous levels (especially leading to nonlinear models) and those with several continuous variables (response surface methodology). Problems of choice of treatments, allocation of treatments to experimental units and links between design and modeling are all of importance to experimenters and lead to interesting statistical work.

2. Prof. Bob Bucat (University of Western Australia, UWA)

Robert (Bob) Bucat. He is Professor in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Western Australia. His scholarly activities in chemistry education are motivated by an intense curiosity about what happens “on the other side” of the lectern or lab bench. Bob was a member, from 1994 to 2002, of IUPAC’s Committee on Chemical Education. For his international contributions, in July 2012 he was presented with the IUPAC Distinguished Contribution to Chemistry Education Award.

3. Kathy Malone. Ph.D (Ohio State University)

Her research interests focus on STEM reasoning and learning in biology and physics via modeling-based activities. In addition, she is interested in the benefits of including engineering design components in K12 science classrooms. Kathy has been involved with Modeling Instruction pedagogy in science since 1995 as both a high school practitioner and an educational researcher. In addition, she is an active workshop leader of this pedagogy nation wide specifically in physics and biology. She has been instrumental in the introduction of this pedagogy at the freshman high level in physics, in secondary biology and as a vertical integration theme in educational settings.

4. Prof. Amy Cutter-Mackenzie

Professor Amy Cutter-Mackenzie is the Deputy Head of School Research, as well as the Research Leader of the SCU ‘Sustainability, Environment and Education’ (SEE) Research Cluster at Southern Cross University. Amy commenced her career as a primary school teacher in Queensland Australia and later moved into academia after completing her PhD. Amy’s research focuses on the 'conceptualisation and articulation of environmental education and sustainability in childhood, schools, teacher education, higher education and community'. Her present research is heavily centred on children’s ontological framings of/in environment. Amy’s latest two books are: ‘Young Children’s Play and Early Childhood Environmental Education’ (Springer, co-authored with Edwards, Moore & Boyd) and ‘The Socioecological Educator’ (Springer, Co-edited with Wattchow, Jeans, Alfrey, Brown & O’Connor).

5. Prof. Sulistyo Saputro (Universitas Sebelas Maret)

Prof. Sulistyo Saputro's research mostly are analytical Chemistry. He is a lecturer and the head of LPPM UNS, a research center for social responsibilities done by UNS His notable works are 'Solid Phase Spectrophotometry and it's application to the study on speciation and Dynamic Circulation of Chromium in Natural Water' Graduated from Kyushu University of Japan, he is one of the few researchers in Indonesia who masters SPS

6. Sidrotun Naim, Ph.D. (Surya University, Indonesia)

Dr. Naim is currently working as lecturer at Surya University, Indonesia. She is also the director of AquaPath, a research center on sustanaibility and pathology. After graduated from Arizona University, she did postdoc at Harvard Medical School, Boston. She is also one of the young scientist who got The UNESCO-L'Oreal For Women in Science. Dr. Naim is an outstanding expert in genetic and microbiology of shrimp pathology.

''Peningkatan Produktivitas Ternak Lokal Terpadu Berkelanjutan dalam Mendukung Ketersediaan Pangan Hewani''

Latar Belakang
Produksi komoditas peternakan tertentu sudah dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nasional namun masih terdapat komoditas tertentu yang belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan nasional. Permintaan kebutuhan daging sapi dan susu di Indonesia sampai saat ini belum mampu dipenuhi dari produksi nasional. Sehingga pemerintah masih mengimpor bakalan dan daging sapi serta susu dari luar negeri. Berbagai upaya masih dilakukan oleh pemerintah dan semua stakeholder untuk dapat mewujudkan pemenuhan kebutuhan nasional. Hal ini merupakan tantangan sekaligus peluang masyarakat peternakan untuk meningkatkan populasi, produktivitas dan produksi sapi di dalam negeri. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut diperlukan berbagai langkah strategis, karena kenyataan yang ada menunjukkan bahwa saat ini produksi daging di dalam negeri hanya mampu memasok 70% kebutuhan nasional. Padahal rata-rata konsumsi daging sapi masih dibawah 2 kg/kapita/tahun, yang jauh tertinggal dibanding rata-rata konsumsi penduduk di negara-negara maju yang telah mencapai 30-40 kg/kapita/tahun.
Untuk itu, diperlukan langkah serius untuk meningkatkan produktivitas peternakan di Indonesia, baik dari skala peternakan rakyat maupun industri peternakan. Diperlukan kerjasama saling menguntungkan dan saling tukar informasi dari berbagai kalangan seperti akademisi, pemerintah, pakar, peneliti, mahasiswa, praktisi dan pemerhati peternakan untuk merumuskan langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan dan mengembangankan potensi ternak lokal agar dicapai produktivitas yang optimal sehingga mampu memenuhi kebutuhan produk peternakan. Penyelenggaraan seminar nasional dengan tema “Peningkatan Produktivitas Ternak Lokal Terpadu Berkelanjutan dalam Mendukung Ketersediaan Pangan Hewani” yang diselenggarakan oleh Program Studi Peternakan Fak. Pertanian UNS tahun 2017 dengan harapan dapat dihasilkan rumusan solusi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas ternak lokal terpadu melalui penerapan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang aplikatif dan inovatif untuk mendukung Kedaulatan Pangan Nasional.

“Pengembangan Potensi Ternak Lokal Berkelanjutan Berbasis Aplikasi Teknologi Inovatif”

Indonesia merupakan negara tropis memiliki plasfa nutfah dan sumber daya genetik ternak yang sangat potensial untuk dimanfaatkan dan dikembangkan produktivitasnya. Hingga saat ini paling tidak Indonesia memiliki 58 jenis ternak lokal yang terdiri dari ternak sapi potong, kerbau, kambing, domba, ayam, itik, dan kuda. Daya dukung sumber daya manusia, wilayah dan pakan di Indonesia juga sangat mendukung keberlanjutan pengembangan sumber daya genetic ternak lokal di Indonesia. Hal ini merupakan asset dan modal yang sangat berharga dan potensial untuk terus dikembangkan sehingga menjadi komoditas dalam negeri yang menguntungkan, terutama dalam memperkuat karakter bangsa dan kedaulatan pagan di era Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean saat ini dan pasar global dimasa yang akan datang.
Namun demikian, peningkatan kebutuhan akan produk peternakan seperti daging, telur dan susu di Indonesia belum bisa dipenuhi sepenuhnya dari produksi nasional. Produksi komoditas peternakan tertentu sudah dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nasional namun masih terdapat komoditas tertentu yang belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan nasional. Permintaan kebutuhan daging sapi dan susu di Indonesia sampai saat ini belum mampu dipenuhi dari produksi nasional. Sehingga pemerintah masih mengimpor bakalan dan daging sapi serta susu dari luar negeri. Diperlukan kerjasama saling menguntungkan dan saling tukar informasi dari berbagai kalangan seperti akademisi, pemerintah, pakar, peneliti, mahasiswa, praktisi dan pemerhati peternakan untuk merumuskan langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan dan mengembangankan potensi genetik ternak lokal agar dicapai produktivitas yang optimal sehingga mampu memenuhi kebutuhan produk peternakan.
Penyelenggaraan seminar nasional dengan tema “Pengembangan Potensi Ternak Lokal Terpadu berkelanjutan Berbasis Aplikasi Teknologi Inovatif” yang diselenggarakan oleh Program Studi Peternakan Fak. Annual Pharmacy Conference merupakan kegiatan tahunan yang diadakan oleh Program Studi S1 Farmasi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sebelas Maret. Kegiatan 4^th Annual Pharmacy Conference yang bertajuk “Digitalisasi dalam Manufacturing Process dan Pharmacy Services” meliputi Seminar Nasional Farmasi dan Workshop.
Pendahuluan
Ekonomi global saat ini sedang pada titik puncak perubahan besar yaitu terjadinya revolusi digital. Revolusi ini ditandai oleh proliferasi komputer dan otomatisasi pencatatan di semua bidang. Pada revolusi digital ini, terdapat beberapa perkembangan. Pertama, inovasi dapat dikembangkan dan disebarkan lebih cepat dari sebelumnya. Kedua, adanya penurunan biaya produksi marginal secara signifikan dan munculnya platform yang menggabungkan beberapa aktivitas konsentrasi di beberapa sektor dan meningkatkan agregat hasil. Ketiga, revolusi ini terjadi pada tingkat global dan akan mempengaruhi, serta dibentuk oleh, hampir semua negara. Akibatnya, revolusi digital ini akan berdampak sangat sistemik di banyak tempat.
Salah satu bidang yang paling banyak terdampak adalah bidang kesehatan, termasuk didalamya adalah bidang farmasi, baik farmasi industri maupun pelayanan kefarmasian. Ada banyak pendapat bahwa sektor kesehatan sangat diuntungkan oleh transformasi ini. Sejauh mana transformasi ini akan berdampak positif bergantung pada bagaimana kita menavigasi risiko dan peluang yang muncul. Pemahaman yang baik tentang revolusi digital adalah penting dalam upaya mengatur strategi untuk meningkatkan output/kualitas produk farmasi maupun pelayanan kefarmasian dengan penggunaan sumber daya yang lebih baik.

Theme: Language in the Workplace

Language in the workplace has been increasingly interesting object of language study. The gathering of language speakers with various social and cultural backgrounds makes the workplace a rich place with linguistic data for research. Varieties of spoken or written language, interaction between co-workers, miscommunication, meaning coming up in the interaction, the new technical terms related to certain professions, and language for virtual work are some many phenomena of language in the workplace that can become the object of linguistic research.

This seminar will bring together linguists, scholars, teachers, researchers, practitioners engaged in research on language in the workplace to share their ideas, insights, experiences, and so on.

Introduction

The role of Biotechnology is highly important as never before. It has become the new wave of world economy after the information technology. Biotechnology contributes greatly to humanity in the fields of agriculture, health, industrial and environmental processes.

Indonesia as part of the global community has the strategic advantage due to its biodiversity. The enormous potential of Indonesia in the development of biotechnology has made the forum for communication between national and international experts. Therefore, hundreds of researchers, academics, industrialists, businessmen, and policymakers had shown great interest and gathered in previous Indonesian Biotechnology Conference (IBC) since 1996 (Jakarta), 2008 (Bogor), and 2012 (Lombok). Indonesian Biotechnology Consortium as the organizer decides to pick the theme "ENHANCING INDUSTRIAL COMPETITIVENESS THROUGH BIOTECHNOLOGY INNOVATION" on the occasion of the 6th IBC in Surakarta.

As in the previous events of IBC, participants from Indonesia and countries such as Japan, Germany, USA, China, Australia, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, are expected to deliver the cutting edge in research along with leading products in various fields of Biotechnology.

The awareness of the challenges ahead in solving those problems was the main driving force for the initiation of The International Conference on Food Science and Engineering 2016.

The International Conference on Food Science and Engineering 2016 aims to bring together the leading scientists, researchers and engineers to share and exchange their knowledge, experiences and research finding on all aspects of food science and technology. This conference will be held on 18-19 October, 2016 in Surakarta, a vibrant city known as a city of culture and a city from which current Indonesian President Joko Widodo comes. PENDAHULUAN

Pangan merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia untuk mempertahankan kehidupan agar sehat secara jasmani dan rohani. Manusia dihadapkan pada beberapa pilihan bahan makanan untuk diolah, dan/atau dikonsumsi. Memilih makanan yang hanya memuaskan selera tanpa berpikir dampak konsumsi makanan yang disenanginya dalam jangka panjang dapat mengakibatkan timbulnya berbagai penyakit. Kebutuhan akan pangan yang aman dan menyehatkan sangat penting.

Mencegah pangan dari kemungkinan cemaran biologis, kimia dan benda lain yang dapat mengganggu, merugikan dan membahayakan kesehatan manusia sangat diperlukan. Penyediaan pangan yang cukup disertai dengan terjaminnya keamanan, mutu dan gizi pangan untuk dikonsumsi merupakan hal yang mendasar dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan. Oleh karena alasan tersebut, pengetahuan dan pengembangan riset yang didukung data laboratorium yang valid menjadi tuntutan di jaman modern ini.
TUJUAN KEGIATAN

Tujuan seminar ini adalah:
1. Mengkomunikasikan dan menyebarluaskan informasi, pengetahuan, pengalaman dan teknologi hasil-hasil penelitian, telaah pustaka dan praktek kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan nutrisi dan keamanan pangan.
2. Mengetahui arah kebijakan dan strategi nasional di bidang nutrisi dan keamanan pangan.
3. Mengetahui implementasi, kendala dan masalah nasional di bidang nutrisi dan keamanan pangan.
LINGKUP KEGIATAN

Ruang lingkup seminar ini adalah:
1. Penelitian dan kajian di bidang nutrisi, kehalalan dan keamanan pangan.
2. Penelitian dan kajian tentang ketahanan pangan nasional.
3. Regulasi nasional di bidang nutrisi dan keamanan pangan.
4. Perilaku konsumsi makanan dan minuman serta gaya hidup masyarakat.
DESKRIPSI PELAKSANAAN KEGIATAN

Kegiatan seminar dilaksanakan pada tanggal 26 April 2014 pukul 08.00-17.00 WIB di Gedung Rektorat Universitas Sebelas Maret. Rangkaian acara dimulai dengan laporan dari ketua panitia Venty Suryanti, M.Phil., Ph.D. disusul dengan pembukaan oleh Pembantu Rektor I Universitas Sebelas Maret Prof. Drs. Sutarno, M.Sc., Ph.D. mewakili Rektor UNS. Sesi seminar diawali dengan presentasi oleh pembicara kunci (keynote speaker) Dr. Ir. HM. Hatta Radjasa (Menteri Koordinator Perekonomian) yang diwakili oleh Drs. Elias Payong Kerar, MM mengenai “Regulasi nasional di bidang nutrisi, kehalalan dan keamanan pangan”.

Sesi seminar dilanjutkan dengan presentasi dari tiga pembicara undangan yaitu Ir. Sumunar Jati dari LPPOM MUI mempresentasikan tentang “Makanan halal: peluang dan tantangannya di Indonesia”, Fanny Widjaja, Ph.D dari PT Berca Niaga Medika mempresentasikan “Teknik analisis nutrisi dan keamanan pangan” dan Dr. Sayekti Wahyuningsih, M.Si. (Fakultas MIPA UNS) mempresentasikan “Peranan Laboratorium Perguruan Tinggi untuk Mendukung Analisis Nutrisi dan Keamanan Pangan”.

Sesi seminar dengan empat kelas paralel dilaksanakan setelah ISHOMA. Pada ruang A, rangkaian acara sesi paralel dimulai dengan presentasi dari pembicara undangan Dr. Dra. Diffah Hanim, M.Si. (Program Pascasarjana Ilmu Gizi UNS) mempresentasikan tentang “Gizi dan Kesehatan”, sedangkan pada ruang B rangkaian acara sesi paralel dimulai dengan presentasi pembicara undangan Danar Praseptiangga, S.TP, M.Sc. Ph.D. (Fakultas Pertanian UNS) mempresentasikan tentang “Pangan Fungsional dan Diversifikasi Pangan Berbasis Bahan Baku Lokal”. Jumlah makalah yang dipresentasikan di ruang A adalah 9 makalah, ruang B adalah 7 makalah, ruang C adalah 10 makalah dan ruang D adalah 7 makalah; sehingga total makalah yang dipresentasikan adalah 31 makalah. Lima belas poster juga dipresentasikan dalam kegiatan seminar ini. Makalalah yang dipresentasikan dipublikasikan dalam bentuk prosiding seminar dengan nomor ISBN 978-602-18580-2-8.

Peserta pendengar yang hadir dalam kegiatan seminar ini adalah dosen, mahasiswa S1 dan S2, wakil dari dinas-dinas terkait se-SOLO RAYA. Tingginya minat peserta ditunjukkan oleh banyaknya jumlah peserta serta antusiasme peserta selama seminar berlangsung, namun karena keterbatasan kapasitas ruang, maka panitia membatasi jumlah peserta.

It can be said as a revolution because the changes that occur have a profound effect on the world's ecosystems and ways of life. First initiated by a group of expert representatives from various fields from Germany, in 2011 at the Hannover Trade Fair. In 2015, Angella Markel introduced the idea of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 at the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Industrial Revolution 4.0 applies the concept of automation carried out by machines without the need for human labor in its application. There are many innovations in Industry 4.0, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, 3D printing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), self-driving vehicles, genetic engineering, robots and smart machines. In the world of education, the increasingly widespread distance learning and online learning services require mathematics teachers and lecturers to be able to master mathematics as well as the latest technology-based learning methods.
Mathematics, as a basic and applied science, is one of the disciplines which is essential necessity to fill space in the development trends of the Industrial Revolution era that is so extraordinary.

Enhancing Mathematics as The Most Powerful Instrument of Knowledge in Our Life
Mathematics has played an important role in the development of many scientific disciplines. It is a universal science and a basis for other science or as a tool in problem-solving on a daily basis. Importance of mathematics can be understood by the definition given by Galileo (1564-1642). He defined Mathematics as a language in which God has written the world. Mathematics is the language of science and engineering – describing our understanding of all that we observe. Also, mathematics has a relation to the real world or everyday life. Certain qualities that are maintained by Mathematics are the power of reasoning, abstract or spatial thinking, creativity, problem-solving ability, critical thinking and even effective communication skills. Hence, it is important to develop mathematics continuously.

Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777-1855), one of the greatest mathematicians of all time, said that Mathematics is the queen of the sciences and number theory is the queen of mathematics. Mathematics often condescends to render service to astronomy and other natural sciences, but in all relations, it is entitled to the first rank. This is because the development of Mathematics does not depend on other sciences, while it is an essential component in developing them. For instance, the Fourier series introduced by Joseph Fourier (1768 - 1830) is used to solve the problem of heat equations on metal plates. The problem is represented by a partial differential equation. The original motivation for Fourier series was to approximate any periodic function, such as square waves and triangle waves, by sines and cosines. It is well known that the sine and cosine functions are orthogonal to each other. The definition of the orthogonality is also known as the inner product between two functions in the theory of linear algebra and function analysis. They are the branches of abstract Mathematics developed in the late nineteenth century. With the similar techniques, other applications of the actual Fourier series in physics and engineering include quantum mechanics, the vibrational modes of structural elements in buildings, quantum harmonic oscillators, signal processing, electro engineering, and any place where some function repeats itself over and over. The example also reinforces Kline’s (1973) statement that Mathematics is not an autonomous knowledge that can be perfect by itself, but was mainly to help people in understanding and to master the problems of social, economic, and nature.

The 1^st International Conference on Mathematics: Education, Theory, and Application (ICMETA) will be held from December 6^th-7^th 2016, at Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Solo, Indonesia. The main objective of the conference is to gather world-class researchers, engineers, and educators engaged in the fields of mathematics and its applications to meet and present their latest activities. It will provide you a platform to disseminate your research findings, and hopefully, it will also spark innovative ideas, foster research relations or partnership between the various institutions.
Mathematics in the Science and Art
Referring to the quote Mathematics is the Queen of the Sciences by Carl Friedrich Gauss, we cannot denied that indeed mathematics is used everywhere in other disclipines. In Physics, partial differential equations is used heavily in hydrodynamics, electricity, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, etc., In economics, game theory is applied to understand a large collection of economic behaviors, including behaviors of firms, markets, and consumers. In computer science, many cryptography scheme relying on mathematics, especially algebraic number theory. In demography, statistics play in role. Even in biology, we need mathematics to learn the detailed structure of DNA.
The importance of mathematics has been realized thousands years ago, especially in architecture. Some of the marvelous architectures of ancient world can be considered as the gifts of mathematics and geometry. The Pyramids of Egypt, Hanging garden of Babylon, the Colosseum of Rome are some examples of ancient architecture built with the aid of mathematical calculation and geometrical diagrams.
Not only in science and engineering, even within art, one uses mathematics to create beautiful art with high accuracy. One of the example is the work of Escher [1898-1972]. He creates an extraordinary visualization based on mathematical principles such as tessellation, polyhedra, and projective geometry. Nowadays, mathematicians and artists continue to create stunning works in all media and to explore the visualization of mathematics such as origami, computer-generated landscapes, fractals, etc. Not surprising, mathematics also used to produce an astonishing animation movies. They use geometric technique of subdivision surfaces to represent complex surfaces and complicated shapes efficiently, while maintaining an illusion of smoothness.
